Missouri

Audits of Missouri’s Criminal Activity Forfeiture Act were first initiated in 1999 by Claire McCaskill, then Missouri’s State Auditor (McCaskill currently represents Missouri in the United States Senate). Susan Montee is currently serving as Missouri’s state auditor and has conducted these audits since 2006. We have obtained the prosecutor records by county that are used to compile these audits for the period of 2004-2009; all of them are available with the exception of the 2004 records, which will be available shortly. Also included is data on deposits to the School Building Revolving Fund from 2004-2009, where the proceeds of forfeited property are supposed to be deposited (RsMO 166.131, RsMO 166.300).

It cost us roughly $140 to acquire the prosecutor records of seized property from the Missouri Department of Public Safety. These records are provided free of charge but donations to help us defray these costs are welcomed.
